Aim Celebrates Truck Driver Appreciation Week

If you bought it, a truck brought it. This short, familiar statement underscores how vital truck drivers are to our country. Nearly everything we depend on for our day-to-day lives took a ride on a truck. However, because a driver’s hard work and sacrifice happens behind the scenes, the magnitude of what they do can be taken for granted.

But not by us at Aim.

Celebrating National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW) is one of many ways Aim shows appreciation for our drivers. During this weeklong event, Americans are asked to show their appreciation for the country’s 3.5 million professional truck drivers and the fundamental role they carry out quietly and with pride.

While Aim doesn’t need a special reminder of how crucial our truck drivers are for us to be able to provide best-in-class dedicated fleet services, we never miss seizing the NTDAW event to give our professional drivers an extra helping of appreciation

“At the core of Aim Integrated Logistics—our very ability to provide the unparalleled dedicated fleet services we do—are our drivers,” said Dave Gurska, COO of Aim Integrated Logistics. “The grit, dedication and sacrifice these men and women show and make every time they climb into the cab is inspiring, and I can’t begin to put into words how appreciative I am for the exceptional level of service our safe, elite drivers provide for us and our valued customers day in and day out.”

This year, every Aim driver received a gift box containing a sweatshirt emblazoned with the NTDAW and Aim logos as well as a thank you card signed by Aim’s executive team and regional directors.

But it didn’t end there! From Sept. 12 – 16, a lineup up of Aim hosts stepped in front of the camera to share across social media their gratitude for Aim’s truck drivers and raffle off 10 70” Samsung Ultra HD televisions to the amazing men and women who make Aim’s team of drivers nationwide.

The winning Aim drivers who took home a big-screen television were:

  • Jon Hendricks
  • Migdalia Nakley
  • William Purnell
  • Delmer Lambert
  • John Caldwell
  • Dion Santiago
  • Curtis Thaxton
  • Paul Livingston
  • Kenneth Bucholz
  • Michael Fetterhoff

Ahead of NTDAW, we asked our drivers to submit a short video detailing their experience driving for Aim, which were then shared on social media throughout the celebration. Each submission came with the chance to win one of three $500 gift cards. We are pleased to announce the winners of that contest: Tim FleischmanJohn Graban and Nathan Binnie.
