Aim Transportation Solutions recently concluded its second Maintenance Directors Meeting for 2023. This bi-annual gathering brought together Aim's maintenance leadership in Chillicothe, OH, located an hour south of Columbus, where they engaged in strategic discussions and set the stage for finishing the second half of the year strong by continuing to elevate Aim’s exceptional truck maintenance service.

The significance of these meetings cannot be overstated. They’re a time and place that breeds innovation, solves problems and further solidifies Aim’s unwavering commitment to customer service. The leadership team capitalized on the time together by discussing various topics such as warranty, training, new technologies, continual education plans, and that’s just scratching the surface.

Chris Disantis, Aim's Vice President of Maintenance, emphasized the importance of a unified commitment to provide unparalleled maintenance: "A truck is just a truck. What sets Aim apart is the personal care, time and dedication that goes into every single one of our customers’ vehicles. To get where we are today—one of the nation’s top commercial fleet and transportation solutions providers—it takes a unified belief and commitment to our company mission, and meetings like these really rally the troops, laying the foundation for continued success and top-notch service for our customers.”

The Aim team also toured the local Kenworth assembly plant. The group got an inside look at the expansive, award-winning facility that was built in 1974 and has assembled well over 500,000 Kenworths during its history. The Class 8 truck plant is wrapping up construction on a huge expansion project that will add a state-of-the-art test building, expanding the whopping 622,000 square-foot site by nearly 17%.

Another objective of the Maintenance Directors Meeting is for Aim to remain proactive rather than reactive. Whether it’s parts and equipment shortages, ever-changing regulations, a turbulent economy or countless other variables, those working in this landscape face near daily curveballs.

Disantis, who boasts over 30 years of experience in the industry, acknowledged these challenges, stating, “There's no playbook for navigating the difficulties we've faced in recent years. However, thanks to the remarkable individuals at this meeting, the exceptional teams in our shops and the continuous support from our ownership, we have found innovative solutions to overcome these obstacles and consistently deliver the award-winning service our customers rely on.”
