Safety Measurement System (SMS)

For Aim, safety is paramount, which is why we’ve heavily invested a Safety Management System built on cutting-edge technologies and the industry’s best and brightest safety experts. Aim has partnered companies like Netradyne for an AI-based fleet camera system to prevent crashes and improve driver performance; Bendix for collision mitigation and avoidance; and Peoplenet for compliance, uptime and efficiency. We pair that with an in-house safety team of talented men and women dedicated to ensuring the safety of Aim’s employees, its valued customers and everyone we encounter daily.

Safety Week

While Safety is a top priority every day at Aim, we take the time once a year to truly focus and recognize those who go above and beyond. Starting in 2020, Aim began holding their annual Safety Week. Rooted in Aim Co-President Scott Fleming’s time as a U.S. Marine, the five-day event includes daily discussions held company-wide going over each of Aim’s core values, what they mean to Aim’s culture and how employees can use them in their own lives every day.

In addition to spending the week reinforcing and educating employees, Aim also recognizes two employees each year with an awards program to identify and honor those who go above and beyond for their demonstration of these core principles. Management across the company submitted their nominations to the Executive Safety Committee. The nominations are reviewed and narrowed down to one individual from Aim Integrated Logistics and one from Aim Leasing Company who are the most deserving of recognition. This recognition is known as the President’s Core Value Award, and recipients receive a cash bonus.

On the last day of Safety Week, Aim employees sign a pledge to prioritize safety in everything they do. The signatures have then been compiled and printed on banners displayed at locations from New York to Arizona.
