Creighton Brothers Begins Transition to Aim Dedicated Fleet

Representatives from Aim Transportation Solutions recently traveled to Warsaw, IN, to meet with Creighton Brothers, the renowned egg producer, in preparation for an exciting partnership kicking off March 5.

Creighton Brothers eggs have delighted families for nearly 100 years and running. Now in its fourth generation, the family business produces nearly 1-billion eggs each year.

What’s truly astounding about this operation is Creighton Brothers’ involvement in every layer of egg production. Across 8,000 acres of land, they operate a number of growing and laying farms, crop farms for feed production, a feed mill facility and an egg processing plant.

If that sounds like a massive undertaking, that’s because it is. But Creighton Brothers wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s how they guarantee eggs of the highest quality met with the most stringent food-safety practices.

No matter how complicated and multi-faceted the Creighton Brothers operation appears to an outsider, one thing is obvious: They’re in the egg game, not transportation. That’s, of course, where Aim enters this story.

Like many companies, Creighton Brothers wants to devote more time, money and resources to its core business, so it’s turning to Aim for a dedicated fleet (also known as dedicated contract carriage).

The division of Aim that offers dedicated fleet services, Aim Integrated Logistics (a Top-25 Carrier in the nation according to Transport Topics), is unique in that goes beyond simply providing trucks and drivers. Aim’s Integrated experts work hand-in-hand with customers, engineering unique solutions that increase efficiency and maximize profitability. Rather than force businesses into a specific, pre-determined logistics model, Aim Integrated Logistics builds the model around businesses and their specific needs.

Beyond that, Aim takes on the liability of operating a fleet—increasingly important with nuclear verdicts on the rise—plus all those costly, time-consuming tasks that are easy to overlook: things like billing, audits, staffing, training, paperwork, continual optimization and all that goes with managing a fleet.

Essentially, Creighton Brothers will redouble its focus on producing high-quality eggs while Aim ensures safe and timely delivery of that precious cargo to their customers.

Visiting from Aim to meet with Creighton Brothers’ current drivers and to announce the transition to Aim were Rob Vogan, Regional Vice President; Carli Kuntze, Vice President of Human Resources; Susan Baer, Director of Recruiting; and Youssef El Ashmawi, Regional Safety Manager.

This popular spot serves fun, eclectic breakfast dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients, including Creighton Brothers’ very own eggs.

“We had a great meeting with the Creighton Brothers drivers,” Vogan said. “Both are very experienced, and we would love to have them on our team.”

The Aim-Creighton Brothers transportation operation will run four drivers. Pulling refrigerated trailers, two of those drivers will operate sleeper tractors for those far-away Creighton customers, and the other two will deliver locally in day cabs.

At Aim, safety is baked into company DNA. Aim’s commitment to safety is one of the primary reasons it’s a top-25 logistics company in the nation and has been for years. True to this dedication, while onsite, Mr. Ashmawi conducted a thorough customer safety walkthrough. He went through the drivers’ day-to-day responsibilities, checking for safety hazards and anything out of the ordinary that might need addressed.

“Since Aim is family owned, it’s always nice to partner with another family-owned business, like Creighton Brothers, that mirrors the same culture and values as we do,” Vogan added. “I know I speak on behalf of everyone at Aim when I say how thrilled we are to begin what we hope will be a long-lasting partnership.”
